Who is Effie Pedaliu?

Effie Pedaliu is a historian at University of the West of England. She is senior lecturer in international history at the Faculty of Creative Arts, Humanities and Education and as researcher she is specializing in history of international relations, including Italian and Greek History and Italian war crimes.

Researching documents from Cold war, she showed that during the Cold war all scholars on fascism wrote only about the origins and ideology of Fascism, excluding Italian war crimes from academic discourse and public media, including film, because British government with the beginning of Cold war was afraid that otherwise communists would get too much power in Italy.
