Who is Elodie Ghedin?

Elodie Ghedin is a Canadian parasitologist and a virologist as well as an associate professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Her work focuses on the molecular biology of the parasites that cause diseases such as leishmaniasis, sleeping sickness, Chagas disease, elephantiasis, and river blindness. She was named a 2011 MacArthur Fellow
