Who is Expo Mejia?

Expedito Jose M. Mejia is the current head coach of the Philippines national rugby union team having been appointed in November, 2009. In his first year he guided the Volcanoes to the Asian Five Nations 2010 Division II title thereby earning promotion to Division I for 2011. He is a former first grade colts coach at Gordon RFC, first grade coach at Penrith Emus Rugby in the Sydney Premiership Competition and backs coach for the Australian Barbarians in 2009 and 2010. He was the Coach Education Coordinator at the New South Wales Rugby Union and the Australian Rugby Union in 2008 and 2009. Expo is also contracted as a consultant coach to various rugby teams in Japan and to the Las Vegas Blackjacks RFC. Expo was a former secondary school Mathematics teacher and Director of Rugby at Redfield College in Sydney, Australia and Mount Albert Grammar School in Auckland, New Zealand.
