Who is Fadilah Noor Abbe?

Fadilah Noor Abbe is a Singaporean supercentenarian claimant who is allegedly 114-years-old. Born in Sumatra, Indonesia, Fadilah has outlived her six siblings as well as her three children. Her family moved from Indonesia to Singapore when she was a child. She is widely thought to be the oldest person in Singapore. Her identity card shows that she was born in 1897.

Fadilah's case was brought attention to after the death of Teresa Hsu Chih, who was formerly the oldest living person in Singapore. If her claim is verified, she will become one of the 10 oldest people in the world. Fadilah currently resides in Bedok with two of her great-grandchildren and a granddaughter. According to the Singapore Book of Records, the oldest person in Singapore's history was Yam Karicho, who died on Aug 30, 1977 at the age of 114.
