Who is Fartein Valen-Sendstad?
Fartein Valen-Sendstad was a Norwegian historian and museologist. He was born in Kristiania. He worked as curator of De Sandvigske Samlinger in Lillehammer from 1949, and was manager from 1964. He published the three-volume series Gudbrandsdalen gjennom tidene in cooperation with Sigurd Grieg. His main research contribution was on the history of agriculture in Norway.
