Who is Franco?

Franco Javier Iglesias peaked in 1986 at number one in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks with a cover version of a Lucio Dalla song titled "Toda La Vida". The singer also reached the top position on that chart with "María" in 1988. Franco was born on December 14, in Pinar del Río, Cuba. He studied at the University of Miami and earned a degree in Communication Sciences. He obtained a scholarship to continue studying theater in London, winning the A.C.A Award for acting.

In 1984, he began singing with a local branch of the OTI in Mexico, recording different LP's and making different tours around South America and the United States. Franco obtained fame with incessant successes, from "All the Life," which was a golden record, also with "I Sing," "I Am," "Chévere," "Dying Here," "María," and others. At the same time he appeared as a co-star in the soap opera "Poor Limatour Young Lady." In that year, the Association of Cronistas of New York declared him the masculine revelation of the year.

In 1990-1992 he led the program "Bailando" and created the official song of "World Vision", transmitted by Univision. Franco worked in theater in Los Angeles for 8 years. After, he decided to separate from show business to cultivate a spiritual world, and develop his philosophy of life.
