Who is G. K. Reddy?
Gunupati Keshava Reddy better known as G. K. Reddy was an Indian journalist.
He edited the Kashmir Times for some time and, after Indian independence, he was Director of Civil Supplies in the government of Azad Kashmir.
He worked for The Times of India between 1951 and 1962 and spent time in Beijing and London as that newspaper's Overseas Reporter. Later, he was Chief of Bureau for The Hindu until his death from cancer in 1987 while he was in New York.
In his memory, the G. K. Reddy Memorial Award for Outstanding Journalism, established by T. Subbarami Reddy, is presented annually.
