Who is Habib Al-Rahman Al-Azmi?
Habib al-Rahman al-Azmi was an Indian Scholar of Hadith and Fiqh. He was born in a small district Mau, near Varanasi in the Uttar Pradesh State.
He helped to bring Musannaf of Abd al-Razzaq al-San'ani back to attention within the Muslim world. He has written hundreds of books, including Nusrat al-hadith, Insab wa kifa'at ki sharai haisiyat, and other books on hadith Sharif. He founded a madrasah named Mirqat al-Uloom in Mau, which has students from all over India. He died on March 17, 1992 in Mau.
