Who is Harry Kawabe?
Harry Sotaro Kawabe was a Japanese businessman who was in an internment camp during the 1940s. He is known for contributing greatly to the economy of Seward, Alaska. In 1971 he founded the Kawabe Memorial House, a housing unit for elderly Japanese - Americans.
