Her Highness Sheikha Hassa bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan is the first wife of the founder and the first President of UAE, the late emir of Abu Dhabi, HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. She is the mother of the current president of UAE and emir of Abu Dhabi, HH Sheikh Khalifa II. Her father is HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, who was a senior figure of the house of Al Nahyan, until his death in 1979.
