Henry Carnegie Phipps was a sportsman and financier, and the owner of Wheatley Stable along with his wife, Gladys Mills Phipps. Wheatley Stable primarily bred horses for thoroughbred horse racing from 1926, and their headquarters were based in New York City. Henry Phipps resided in Palm Beach, Florida. He died on March 22, 1953.
