Who was Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset?
Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset, was the son of King Henry VIII of England and his mistress Elizabeth Blount, and the only illegitimate offspring whom Henry acknowledged. He was the younger half-brother of Mary I, future Queen of England, as well as the older half-brother of the future Elizabeth I and Edward VI. Through his mother he was the elder brother of Elizabeth Tailboys, 4th Baroness Tailboys of Kyme, George Tailboys, 2nd Baron Tailboys of Kyme and Robert Tailboys, 3rd Baron Tailboys of Kyme.
