Who was Ibrahim Starova?
Ibrahim Starova, was an Albanian politician.
Starova joined Mehmed Reshid and Abdullah Cevdet to form a secret society devoted to overthrow sultan Abdul Hamid II, the Committee of Union and Progress. It became a main basis for what was to become later the Young Turkish National Movement.
Starova had been part of the Society for the Printing of Albanian Writings. His real name was Ibrahim Ethem Sojliu.
Furthermore, a high school in Struga is named after Ibrahim Starova.
