David Idwal Davies was a Welsh dual-code international rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and '40s, playing representative level rugby union for Wales, and at club level for Swansea RFC, as a Centre, i.e. number 12 or 13, and playing representative level rugby league for Wales, and at club level for Leeds, as a Centre, i.e. number 3 or 4.

Davies was born in Llanelli district He died in Llanelli, aged 74.
