Ivan Mikhailovich Varichev - Russian Soviet realist painter, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, who live and work in Saint Petersburg. He is a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, regarded as one of the brightest representatives of the Leningrad school of painting, most famous for his lyrical landscape of rural Russia.
