Jagannath Venkappa Shetty is an Indian Banker who has been the Chairman and Managing Director of Canara Bank, Chairman of Indian Banks' Association from January 5, 1993 - August 16, 1994.He also headed the J. V. Shetty Banking Committee of India which decided on the crucial issue of consortium lending by Indian Banks.After his retirement from Canara Bank, Shetty also was an Independent director of Global Trust Bank for a brief period.
