Who is Jasper Brinkley?

Jasper Jerrell Brinkley is an American football linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He played college football for the University of South Carolina. He was drafted by the Vikings in the fifth round of 2009 NFL Draft.

Brinkley started at middle-linebacker due to the injury of E. J. Henderson during the 2009 season. Henderson seriously injured his leg against the Arizona Cardinals in week 13, and was out the remainder of the season. Brinkley has had a very close, apprentice-like relationship with Henderson who mentored him as a rookie throughout training camp and his first professional season, even quizzing him while watching film together. His twin brother, Casper Brinkley, played for the Carolina Panthers but is no longer with the team.
