Who is John L. Loeb Jr.?

John Langeloth Loeb, Jr. is a businessman, philanthropist, art collector, and former United States Ambassador to Denmark and Delegate to the United Nations. Since 1979, Loeb has been chairman of Loeb, Rhoades Trust Company, successor to John L. Loeb Jr. Associates, Inc., Investment Counselors. Loeb is the founder of and owner of the Russian Riverbend Vineyards Ltd., which produces Sonoma-Loeb wines. He has sponsored publications and exhibitions on early American genealogy and family histories, and on Danish art. In 2009, he founded the George Washington Institute for Religious Freedom, and serves as the chairman of the organization.
