Who was Joseph Jefferson Farjeon?
Joseph Jefferson Farjeon was a British writer, journalist and playwright. Farjeon generally wrote thriller and mystery novels, but also authored several plays. One of his best known works is the play Number 17 which has been adapted into a number of films including Number Seventeen directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
He was the grandson of the American actor Joseph Jefferson. His sister was Eleanor Farjeon.
