Who is Juan Camilo Restrepo Salazar?

Juan Camilo Restrepo Salazar was the 10th Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Colombia, serving in the administration of President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón. A veteran politician, he also served as Minister of Finance and Public Credit, as the 17th Minister of Mines and Energy, Senator of Colombia, and Ambassador of Colombia to France. A lifelong member of the Conservative Party, he tried to run for the Conservative presidential nomination in 1998 and 2002, ultimately losing in the primaries both times.
