Who is Jyothi Raj?
Jyothi Raj is an Indian rock climber who climbs risky vertical heights without safety harness. He was known to imitate the movements of monkeys, thus, his alias kothi raj. He discovered his ability to climb when he was 23 years old while working on bamboo scaffolding. Believing that this is a gift from god, he continued practicing and used yoga until he developed full upper body strength to be able to climb steep heights. Nowadays, he entertain crowds at Chitradurga Fort and hoping that the government will support him. Occasionally, he teaches others how to climb. Jyothi lives in southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is a state covered by forests. In which Jyothi might have found inspiration from monkeys swinging to and fro.
