Who is Kabilan Vairamuthu?
Kabilan Vairamuthu is a writer and activist from South India. He is the son of the Tamil poet and lyricist Vairamuthu. He published his first book at 18. He is the author of five poetry collections, a short story collection and novels. He founded Makkal Anukka Peravai, a social service organization which works to help youth. The movement was started with a thirty college students and now has a worldwide network. The members’ causes are education, protection of the environment and political awareness.
