Who is Karomama II?
Queen Karomama II was an Egyptian queen, married to Takelot II. She was part of the 22nd and 23rd dynasty of Ancient Egypt. She is also known as Karomama D, Merytmut II.
Karomama was a daughter of the High Priest of Amun Nimlot C and the Lady Tentsepeh C. Her paternal grandparents were Pharaoh Osorkon II and Queen Djedmutesankh.
Karomama married Pharaoh Takelot II and was mother to Pharaoh Osorkon III. Karomama was the grandmother of Pharaohs Takelot III and Rudamun and of the God's Wife of Amun Shepenwepet I Karomama is known from the Chronicle of Osorkon B and Nile level texts dating to the reign of her son Osorkon III.
