كلـيب بن ربيعة التغلبي. حسب الكتب التاريخية وهو شقيق المهلهل عدي بن ربيعة التغلبي، وأول من ملك قومه تغلب وبكر أبناء وائل وبعضا من قبائل ربيعة من العدنانيين، وقد جعل للعرب العدنانية السيطرة على الجزيرة العربية بعد سنين طويلة من السيطرة القحطانية.
