Who was Larry Holden?

Larry Holden was an actor best known for his roles in several of Christopher Nolan's films, including Batman Begins as Finch, Memento as Jimmy and Insomnia as Farrell. Holden was born in Belfast and began his career in 1991's The Arc. He appeared in episodes of Cracker and Charmed. He began collaborating with Christopher Nolan in Memento and continued with Insomnia and Batman Begins Holden was also known for his role as criminal Darren Henson on C.S.I.: Crime Scene Investigation. Holden semi-retired as an actor to become an independent filmmaker, writing and directing eight films. Holden's first film, My Father's House, won the 2002 Independent Achievement Award at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.

In 2010, doctors discovered cancer in Holden after performing hip surgery. It was too late to stop it and on February 13, 2011, Holden died. He was 49 and survived by his wife, Hanne Kristiansen.
