Who is Lawrence Turman?

Lawrence Turman is a film producer who currently serves as the director of The Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California. He was nominated for an Academy Award for The Graduate. He has also produced such films such as Pretty Poison, The Great White Hope, The Thing, Mass Appeal, Short Circuit, The River Wild, and American History X. Turman is a member of the Producers Guild Hall of Fame, and is on the board of the Producers Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has also directed two films: The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker and Second Thoughts.

In 2005, Turman published the book So You Want to be a Producer with Three Rivers Press.
