Who is M. Anwar Hossain?

M. Anwar Hossain one of the most prominent plant scientists in Bangladesh very much praised for his pioneering role in the field of biotechnology to develop flooding tolerant rice in Bangladesh. M. Hossain who is a Freedom Fighter of Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 is well known for his egalitarian political thoughts, activities and his ever-raised voice against all odds and all threats against country. He was the project director of the foundation Department of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology, University of Dhaka. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Dhaka.
