Who was M George Muthoot?
Mathai George Muthoot was an Indian entrepreneur and businessman, prominent for his pioneering work in the South Indian Financial Sector. He was born to a Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Christian family in Kozhencherry, Kerala, India.
He, along with his father Muthoot Ninan Mathai, founded what would later become the Muthoot Group of companies.
