Composer, Arranger, Vocalist, Guitarist, Musical Director, Engineer, Producer, Motivational Speaker and Businessman.

Mac Loving, Jr. was a guitarist, vocalist, composer, arranger and engineer, respected in his field. Experienced in all genre of music, Mac was a member of the Afro Latin Jazz group, the Pharaohs, the Brides of Funkenstein, the James Brown Band, Chicago’s famed Regal Theater Band and the Black Ensemble Theatre band. He was music director for Dennis Edwards and Otis Clay. He was mentored by such greats as Phil Cohran, Dr. Eckstein (Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra), and Hank Ballard. During his 50 year career Mac performed with Curtis Mayfield, Louis Satterfield, Master Henry Gibson, Oscar Brown, Jr., Millie Jackson, Brook Benton, Lou Rawls, Koko Taylor, The Chilites and others.

As founder of the HumP Dyddi Cyti recording studio, Mac worked behind the scenes writing jingles, lecturing, serving as a TV talent coordinator, and producing projects for Chicago and Las Vegas artists. His bands included The Arc and Loves Army, Back To Earth, and Soul 2 Keep as well as an earlier Chicago favorite singing group, the Vidells .

Talented guitarist and vocalist, Mac Loving, Jr. performed his multi-cultural, multi-generational music, to audiences everywhere. He told stories and filled the void found in today’s music. His premiere CD, Soul To Keep, featuring Colors and Changes, received national and international Airplay.

His studio HumP Dyddi Cyti was the outgrowth of a dream to produce ONE RECORD! After writing the bold anthem for every nationality, Colors, Mac Loving, Jr. wrote a haunting song called Changes. Dee Evans hounded, haunted and stalked Mac to release Changes to world. After the high expense of self producing Colors, Mac had no plans to do this. This meant nothing to Dee. Needless to say, it was released-along with eight other songs on the first Mystic Faith release-Soul To Keep. Along the way though, is where the Cyti and the partnership between Mac and Dee began as MD 2-Sharp Productions, Inc. and Mystic Faith Records.

Mac and Dee built the Mystic Faith Recording Studio, later renamed the HumP Dyddi Cyti, to minimize expenses and have an avenue to create more masterpieces. Mac decided that he liked operating a studio and limited his performing for several years while he mastered the equipment and developed several younger artists. It was then time for Mac to return to the stage. Mac's band, Back II Earth (founded in 1991) which had performed mainly at private corporate events, was renamed during the rebirth to Soul 2 Keep, adding vocalist Suzan Chatims, to commemorate the beginning of it all.

The studio and band was relocated from Chicago to Las Vegas in 2003 where they performed and Mac continued mentoring and teaching the youth.

After a stroke in 2014, Mac stepped back from the spotlight, content with the knowledge that he had made a difference in the life of others, maybe more than he even knew.

From the age of four, when his mother made him a guitar out of a two-by-four, copper wire and nails, Mac showed an uncanny ability for stringed instruments, At the age of ten, he was willed his first 'real' guitar by his great aunt and he never looked back. Determined to succeed, Mac attended the Chicago Conservatory where his natural writing ability, playing, singing and production skills were enhanced. Mac Loving Jr was the typical 'overnight success' with 40+ years in the music industry.

Mac's music is multi-cultural, multi-generational. He tells stories and fills the void found in today's music. His premiere CD, Soul To Keep, featuring Colors and Changes, received national and international airplay.
