Who is Mahabza?

SIHLE MAHABENI (born October 8th,1996), is a South African Afro-soul /Beat and house music singer and song writer that hails from JEFFREYS BAY in the Eastern Cape.

MAHABZA is a Afro-soul Artist that is flexible enough to adapt to any musical genre, whose music career kick started back in 2006 when he used to perform at an talent show known as Simunye talent show that used to take place every fridays,@ITHEMBA CHURCH CENTRE.

In 2016 he COLLABORATED with MBASAKAZI KHUMALO & released a Project titled CONNECTED BY MUSIC.Habza No Mbasa composed music that comprised of afro soul,pop and House, with the purpose of bridging the gap in the music industry and reach for a wider audience.

The work of this particular DUO was remarkably well received by supporters and created an immediate social media buzz.

The single “STAY WITH ME” caused a social media stir and accumulated quite a lot of online downloads to such an extent that the DUO received invites for interviews on Local TV Stations like Bay TV and 1KZN TV & national newspaper Sunday World for profile articles. Their single was then playlisted on Umhlobo Wenene FM where it received a 5 out 5 rating from listeners’ votes. The song was ranked number one on Community Radio charts of radio stations Bay FM and KQ FM.

Since then the DUO has been receiving invitations to perform in various events organised by the Local Municipality, Private Sectors, and well known promoters, to mention a few. HABZA NO MBASA have performed on various ANC Rallies and Coca Cola Promotions. The group was among the headliners at the Uitenhage Street Carnival and Port Elizabeth Splash Festival 2014 and also performed on locally held events like the

End of Year Celebration for 2014 – 2016;

While performing at all these aforementioned events, the group was also afforded the opportunity to be openings acts for award winning South African artists such as Cassper Nyovest , Dj Tira, the late Mandoza, Distruction Boyz ,NaakMusiq, Vusi Nova , Nokwazi and Thebe to mention a few.

Due to DUO dynamics, they had to part ways and focus on their solo careers. MAHABZA is now working on his new project titled GOLDEN TOUCH Which will be released later on this year(2019) “DIAMOND & IMEKO” taken from the upcoming project, is already making waves and has obtained high anticipation from his supporters.
