Who is Maninder Chana?
An award-winning writer, director, producer and actor, Maninder Chana was the driving force behind Mixed Nuts. The comedy troupe sold out shows and garnered accolades for its cutting edge humor, the majority of which was penned by Chana. His career quickly moved to television and film. All of his films have played festivals internationally. In 2005, he was nominated for a Reel World Trailblazer Award. He also wrote and directed a 6 hour long radio sci-fi epic called Sectarian Wave, which is being turned into a comic book. An award-winning journalist as well as writer, a collection of Maninder's short comedic stories, Gunga Din Lite and Other Delights (of Lust & Comedy) was published in 2006. His Japanese-language action short, Fuku, with members of Jackie Chan's stunt team, won two best film awards in 2007.
