Who is Marcel Boekhoorn?

Marcel Boekhoorn is a Dutch investor with a wide array of business interests. Mr Boekhoorn's estimated current net worth stands at €1.3 billion, making him one of the wealthiest entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. Boekhoorn, a CPA by training, founded his investment vehicle Ramphastos Investments in 1994. Over the course of the ensuing years Boekhoorn successfully acquired and sold numerous companies. Boekhoorn is the investor of the Dutch football club N.E.C. Nijmegen.

Boekhoorn also helps to fund the motor racing career of his son-in-law Giedo van der Garde, who currently races with the Caterham F1 Team in Formula One.
