Who was Marcus Annius Verus Caesar?
Marcus Annius Verus Caesar was one of the thirteen children born to Faustina, the wife of the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. In 166, he was made his father's first heir. On 10 September 169, he died of natural causes in Rome. His brother Commodus thus became his father’s new heir and later successor.
