Who is Matthew Melton?
Matthew Melton is an American musician, songwriter, producer, and photographer based in Austin, Texas, originally from Memphis, Tennessee. He is best known as the vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter of Bare Wires and, currently, Warm Soda. Before relocating to California in 2007 with the first incarnation of psych garage band Snake Flower 2, he performed and recorded with garage rock outfits the Memphis Break-Ups and the River-City Tanlines. Once in the San Francisco Bay Area he continued to write, perform, and record with Snake Flower 2, Bare Wires and Warm Soda, as well as release a solo LP, Still Misunderstood, in 2010. In 2012, he started independent record label and recording studio Fuzz City with Warm Soda guitarist Rob Good.
