Who is Mika Kanai?
Mika Kanai is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo. She is attached to Ken Production. Her pet name is Mikapii. She is best known for her roles in Idol Tenshi Yōkoso Yōko, Tanoshii Mūmin Ikka, Goldfish Warning!, Soreike! Anpanman, Yadamon, After War Gundam X, Tokyo Pig, Galaxy Angel, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Tales of Phantasia and Uchi no 3 Shimai.
Kanai was married to fellow voice actor Kōichi Yamadera from 1994 to 2006, though their divorce wasn't made public until 2007. She is the daughter of Seinenza Theater Company producer Akihisa Kanai and voice actor Kazue Tagami.
She voices Iris's Emolga in both the Japanese and English language versions of the Pokémon Best Wishes series. Kanai previously voiced Ash's Chikorita/Bayleef during the Johto League series and was a recurring character for a few episodes in the original series and the Sinnoh series.
