Who is Mike Altman?
Mike Altman (born 1955) is the son of film director Robert Altman. At the age of 14 he wrote the lyrics to "Suicide Is Painless", the theme song for his father's 1970 movie, MASH. Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in the 1980s, Robert Altman said that he was paid $70,000 for directing the film, whereas Mike made over a million dollars from the song. Mike Altman is currently employed as a technical director at Pixar.
