Modesto Seara Vázquez

Who is Modesto Seara Vázquez?

Modesto Seara-Vazquez Professor of International Law and International Relations. He worked most of the time in Mexico, at the National University of Mexico and in the State of Oaxaca, as Rector of the Oaxaca State University System. He is a world known academic, who made important contributions to the fields of International Law and International Relations. He is considered one of the founding fathers of the Law of Outer Space, for his writings in the 50´s. He also founded several universities, according to the new model of his own design. In Spain he was very active in politics, particularly during the political transition in the seventies and early eighties, but also as a student, in the early fifties; always as a member of socialist organizations. He has also lived in England, France, Germany and the United States.
