Who is Nancy H. Rubin?
Nancy H. Rubin served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and is a Presidential Appointee to the White House Council for Community Solutions. Rubin serves on the boards of the National Democratic Institute and Women for Women International. Rubin also serves on the United Nations Association Strategy Committee and Human Rights Task Force and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She has served in the administrations of Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama. Rubin served as a board member of OEF International and chaired the Committee on Women and Law and Development, which began legal literacy projects in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Through her work with government, the United Nations and NGOs, Rubin continually advocates for social innovation to support communities and democratic institutions around the world.
