Who was Nicholas Hughes?

Nicholas Hughes (1962-2009) was the son of poet Sylvia Plath and writer Ted Hughes. He was an evolutionary biologist, an expert in "stream salmonid ecology", and a professor/researcher at University of Alaska Fairbanks. After years of struggling with depression, he committed suicide on March 16, 2009.
