Who is Olav Riste?
Olav Riste is a Norwegian historian.
His research focus has been on international and national security, and military history. He is a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.
Riste edited the Scandinavian Journal of History from 1976 to 1981. He was decorated Knight, First Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav in 2003.
