Who is P. V. Ramesh?

Dr. P.V. Ramesh is an IAS officer from the 1985 batch recruited from Andhra Pradesh. During his career, spanning over 25 years, he worked with the state government of Andhra Pradesh, the central government of India and the United Nations Organization. While working with the United Nations Organization he was responsible for project design, supervision, monitoring, evaluation, fund administration of rural development and poverty alleviation projects funded by IFAD, UNDP, UNODC, UNFPA, in several countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kenya, Maldives, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka and USA. During his stint with UNO, he worked in very high profile positions such as Country Programme Manager IFAD in Sri Lanka, Coordinator and Acting Director of UNOPS Regional Office for Southern and Eastern Africa based at Nairobi, Kenya, and Country Representative for UNFPA in Kabul, Afghanistan to mention a few.
