Who is Phillip Calvert?
Phillip Calvert, also known as Philip Calvert, was the fifth Governor of Maryland during a brief period in 1660 or 1661. He was appointed by the royally chartered proprietor of Maryland, Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore, as a caretaker to replace Lt. Gen Josias Fendall, the fifth/sixth? provincial governor.
