Who was Pierre Aubry?
Pierre Aubry was a French musicologist who specialized in the music of the 13th century. He is particularly known for analyzing, collecting, and publishing trouvère and troubadour songs. He also coined the term musicologie. When he was found guilty of plagiarising, he contrived his own death by fencing unprotected.
