Qahtan Chathir Drain
Who is Qahtan Chathir Drain?
His exile from the Iraqi team came after the disastrous 1998 World Cup campaign, which resulted in a dip in form, which was one of the reasons for his return to domestic football after a short spell in Qatar with Al Taawon, but injuries and loss of form blighted his attempts to recapture his old goal-scoring touch and put him out on the sidelines at Al-Talaba.
He moved to Al Karkh in 1999 and exploded to life, helping the club to a respectable 6th place becoming the 2nd leading goalscorer in the Iraqi league with 27 goals, he even scored five goals in one match during the season, such exploits have brought the fallen star back into the international scene and played at the 2000 Asian Cup in Lebanon.
