Who is Rafik Habib?
Rafik Habib is a Christian Egyptian researcher, activist, author, and politician.
He is a researcher and analyst on current matters in Egyptian social and political matters. His is also an author, and director of the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services.
In July 2011 he was appointed deputy chairman of the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party. However, in December 2012, he announced that he planned to withdraw from political life, becoming one of several advisers to Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to resign in the midst of the 2012 Egyptian protests. Habib had been Morsi's only Coptic Christian adviser.
