Who was Ray Boynton?

Ray Boynton (1883-1951) was an American painter. He studied at the Chicago Academy of Arts. He taught art at the California School of Fine Arts in San Francisco beginning in 1920. In 1923, he joined the faculty of the Department of Art of the University of California, Berkeley where he remained until his retirement in 1948.
