Richard Downes is an Irish broadcaster and journalist. He has worked for the Press Association, Reuters, the Financial Times and the BBC. He has previously presented Morning Ireland on RTÉ Radio 1. He succeeded Charlie Bird as Washington Correspondent for RTÉ News in 2010.
