Who is Sajal K. Das?

Sajal K. Das is the chair of the computer science department and the Daniel C. St. Clair Chair Professor at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. He is the founding director of the Center for Research in Wireless Mobility and Networking. From 2008 to 2011 he was a program director at the US National Science Foundation in the Division of Computer Networks and Systems. Das is also an E.T.S. Walton professor at Science Foundation Ireland, a visiting professor of IIT at Kanpur and IIT Guwahati, an honorary professor of Fudan University in Shanghai, an international advisory professor of Beijing Jiaotong University, China, and a visiting scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research, Singapore.

His research interests include wireless and sensor networks, mobile and pervasive computing, smart environments and smart health care, pervasive security, biological networking, applied graph theory and game theory. His research on wireless sensor networks and pervasive and mobile computing is widely recognized as pioneering. He is a senior member of the IEEE. He has an Erdős number of 3.
