Who is Sarath Lakshman?
Sarath Lakshman is an Indian programmer and GNU/Linux activist. He works for Zynga Game Network India Pvt Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer.
Born and raised in India, he was a student of Jawaharlal Nehru Government Higher Secondary School in mahe and continued his studies at Model Engineering College, Cochin University of Science and Technology. He is the founder of the GNU/Linux distribution called Slynux, started in 2004, and author of the Linux Shell Scripting Cookbook. He has also written articles in the Linux For You monthly magazine.
Lakshman has contributed notably to projects like Pardus Linux, Pitivi, Ubuntu and Google Summer of Code.
