Sean M. Ryan is a Democratic New York State Assembly member from Buffalo, New York. On September 13, 2011 Ryan, an attorney and former chief of staff to the County Legislature, was elected during a special election to the New York State Assembly, succeeding long time assemblyman Sam Hoyt in the 144th Assembly District in Buffalo and Grand Island.
